This is my latest RSE resource, which I have been working on for the past two years. I took all of the learning from the other resources I have been involved in, to make this one exactly as I wanted it to be. This is the first time I have had full creative control over every aspect. And I was really excited to find an iilustrator who could make my ideas into a reality. I wrote the words and designed each of the pages. 

I wanted this resource to be educational, but not look like the usual scientific classroom book. I wanted to bring together the type of sex-ed that happens digitally, through platforms like instagram and teen magazines to create a tool which felt like it was made in 2020 and not 1998.

The resource is a spiral bound booklet which makes it easy to photocopy the pages. It’s simple, no fuss, easy to use  and I hope it will supports educators to feel prepared and positive about delivering relationships, sex and health ed. It can be used by teachers, teaching assistants, RSHE leads, youth workers, social workers, school nurses, sexual health workers, parents and carers with young people aged 11 – 16 years-old. (some aspects would be okay to use with years 5 and 6 and the images are great for SEN young people).
