Mother–Daughter & derby day match Weekends Are My Love Language

By

This past weekend my girl Laurie came up from London (where she’s now living her best content-creator life) to spend a couple of days with me in Manchester and celebrate her birthday early. She’s turning 27 soon…HOW?!

Me and Laurie, we’re basically the same person, just in different packaging!

She dances and creates content, I write and create content. The only difference? She’s hitting 4 million+ followers while I’m waving from the sidelines with my 36k reach Hahah…But still, same vibe, same brain, same obsession with eating good food, visiting coffee shops, supping cocktails, and filming absolutely everything for the grid.

Whilst she was here, we did what we do best…eat, drink, and laugh. Saturday we had a girlie brunch at Canto if you’re in Manchester and you haven’t been…go.

Their Tipsy Tapas is £40pp and includes small plates that are basically tapas heaven (think calamari, patatas bravas, chicken skewers… the lot) plus 90 minutes of unlimited drinks. Dangerous but delicious. Especially as we headed to Side Street afterwards for even more aperol spritz!

The next morning we rolled ourselves to Moose Coffee in Media City for breakfast. I had poached eggs and avo on sourdough and Laurie opted for the salmon, we both left with n regrets.

After breakfast, I headed to OT with Carl where we watched United vs City (0-0) and finally headed home put my feet up.

These are the weekends I live for….food, football, content creating, cocktails, and just being with my girl. I love when she’s here, and I’m so grateful we get to share this little mother-daughter thing, even when she’s a London girly now.
