Happy New Year Party People! It’s the 2nd of January, the last of the turkey leftovers are gone, and I’m sat here with my Christmas nails still clinging on for dear life (shout out to my nail tech who made them basically indestructible).

Christmas 2024 in my new little home was everything I hoped it would be. Good food, silly family games, and a pink Christmas tree that was such a vibe. Honestly, she deserved her own Instagram grid, along with the lamp, sparkly, unapologetically girly, and standing loud and proud in the corner like the festive queen she is.

The kids were laughing all day long, especially when the dog got served turkey that, apparently, looked way better than theirs. 🙈 We had those belly laughs that make the whole year feel worth it. Laurie came up from London and stayed a few days — which I loved. There’s just something about having all my little family under one roof that makes me feel settled, even if it’s only for a while.

Truthfully, I really needed it. The last few months haven’t been easy, dealing with some nasty online trolls spreading malicious lies about me. I even went to the police, but because they weren’t actually naming me, there was nothing I could do. Brutal. So yeah, I’ve had to suck it up and keep moving forward. Having that holiday peace, food, and family time felt like a little shield from all that ugliness.
By the time New Year’s Eve rolled around, Laurie was back in London, and the mother hosting duties were over, so it was time for me to swap my xmas pjs for my new fur coat. And Carl and me headed out to town because we needed to end this rough year in the style we wanted it to go on…dancing.

It’s been a rocky ride(…me moving out and then everything else 2024 threw at me), but here I am ready to see where 2025 takes me….here’s to inner peace, leopard print and pink things, resilience, and dancing into a new year x
