Wedding Season: Dancing Shoes and Celebrations of Love

By

What a whirlwind August it’s been! This summer I had the please of attended to weddings, back-to-back (I know, the fizz, my head). Each day was so special and unique, with there own beautiful moments.

First up was my sister Michelles wedding to Alan, and I couldn’t have been be happier for her. They’re both over 40, together for ever though and it just made this whole thing even more meaningful.

The wedding was a lovely, an intimate affair, where Michelle was surrounded by family. It was so special, although there was a piece missing our mum, who passed away in 2020. I felt her absence deeply, but I also felt her presence especially with a beautiful gesture from Michelle and Alan. The wedding was hosted at The Broadoak Hotel, and was a small but lively evening, filled with laughter, hugs, and lots of dancing. Honestly, it was one of the most wonderful events I’ve ever attended, and I couldn’t stop smiling all night. It was all about celebrating love, life, and family, and dancing the night away in true family fashion.

Next up was Deb, my lifelong friend, marrying her partner Pete at the Last Drop Village in Bolton. This wedding had a sophisticated feel, and the sun came out to shine on their big day. Traditions were honored, and the atmosphere was filled with love and joy. Yes, I cried, did you expect anything less? I’m a sucker for weddings, and this one hit me right in the heart. Deb and Pete’s love was so evident in every detail, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to be there to witness it.

A huge thank you to both Michelle & Alan and Deb & Pete for inviting us to be part of these incredible days. The love, laughter, and memories shared will stay with me forever.

Now, let’s talk about the outfits! For Michelle’s wedding, Carl wore a sharp looking burgandy suit from ASOS Man, which he looked amazing in, and for Deb’s wedding, he changed it up with a sleek Zara look, which he bought in New York, all in perfect neutral colors. As for me, I wore my trusted green broderie anglaise dress from Oasis to Michelle’s wedding. I’ve had it for years, but it still feels so fresh and fun. For Deb’s wedding, I opted for the stunning Hope & Ivy dress, in a similar green, so my nails would match both events, the dress has ruched details and beautiful red poppies. I love how the dress gave off an elegant, yet hippy vibe perfect for a day and for me.

Both weddings were centered around family, celebration, and dancing. I’m so grateful for these moments. Here’s to love, to family, and to dancing through life!
