New Century Hall in Manchester – A Hidden Gem for Food, Drinks, and Live Music

By

This week we had the exciting opportunity to check out New Century Hall in Manchester, and it did not disappoint! Carl and I were lucky enough to be invited to explore this fantastic venue, and I’m so glad we did. As huge fans of food, drinks, and live music, New Century Hall has quickly become one of our favorite spots in the city.

The Concept of New Century Hall

New Century Hall is a modern venue with a unique concept that blends live music with a laid-back, yet vibrant atmosphere. Located just off the bustling Northern Quarter, it’s a space that really captures the heart of Manchester’s cultural scene, the venue offers a relaxed vibe while still feeling energetic enough for a night out. The idea here is all about creating a space that brings together great food, drinks, and top-notch live performances. The venue itself is an open spacious area with a balance of modern design and vintage charm, making it a perfect place for intimate gigs, larger concerts, or simply hanging out with friends.

Live Music with Mali Hayes

The night we visited was cool because we got to see Mali Hayes, who is one of my favorite local artist. She’s a regular at my other favorite venue in Manchester, The Blues Kitchen, so I already knew we were in for a treat. Mali’s performance was incredible as usual, her soulful voice, and good crowd, made it a chill, laid back night.

Food and Drink Options

The menu at New Century Hall offers a great variety of delicious options, from comfort food classics to something a little more adventurous. They’ve got a solid selection of street food-style bites, and we were particularly impressed with the tasty options available. The prices are reasonable, with most dishes ranging from £6 to £12, depending on what you’re after.

As for drinks, you’ve got a solid selection of craft beers, cocktails, and spirits. The prices are very much in line with what you’d expect from a high-end venue in Manchester, but not at all overpriced. Here’s what we found:

  • Pint of beer: Around £5
  • Double vodka: £6.50
  • Average cocktail: Between £8 and £10, depending on what you choose (they’ve got a great cocktail menu with a mix of classics and some interesting twists).

Final Thoughts

All in all, New Century Hall is a fantastic addition to Manchester’s live music scene. Whether you’re there for the food, the drinks, or the music (or all three), it’s the kind of venue that offers something for everyone. Carl and I left that night buzzing with excitement about coming back especially with the line-up they have planned for the months ahead.

If you’re looking for a new spot to check out in Manchester, I highly recommend popping into New Century Hall for an unforgettable experience. It’s the perfect place to catch some great live music while enjoying amazing food and drinks in a beautiful setting.
