Divorced As F*: The Party I Never Had (Until Now)**

By

I never had a wedding party. I’ve never been one for big celebrations. Saying yes to going to a party? Iam all in. But being the centre of attention of one? Absolutely not.

However, after three years of fighting for a divorce, following a marriage that ended with cheating, lies and betrayal (classic), I knew this was a life moment that needed marking.

So enter: my Divorced As F*** party held at Blues Kitchen Manchester because if you’re going to celebrate your freedom, you do it with good food, strong drinks, and a Hip Hop Brunch that plays the tunes you actually want to dance to.

The music was 10/10 (Beyoncé, Mary J, Motown, Missy, Biggie—say no more), the food was unreal (hello, chicken & waffles), and the whole vibe was just me, and so right.

Most importantly though, I got to thank the incredible women who carried me through the past three years. Divorce even though I am laughing now, is brutal, but so is female friendship, in the best way.

So, here’s to celebrating life’s real milestones. And stepping up and being the main character for once in your life. And if you ever need a hype woman, you know where to find me. 💃🥂✨
