Beauty giant AVON and breast cancer charity CoppaFeel! have launched a digital learning tool, CoppaCollege to educate women more about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.
Only 30% of women say they check their breasts on a monthly basis, and many say the main barrier to checking is lack of knowledge about the signs and symptoms and not knowing what to look for.

Speaking of the launch of the tool, AVON’s Representative Ambassador and patron of CoppaFeel! Giovanna Fletcher said:
‘CoppaFeel! is an incredible charity that is close to my heart. Their mission to encourage women to check their boobs, and men to check their pecs, on a regular basis is something we should all be supporting.
‘As AVON’s Rep Ambassador, I’ve been working closely with the brand and their passionate Reps to help spread breast health awareness and hope that CoppaCollege will enable even more women to realise that knowing your boobs can save your life!’
Natalie Kelly, CEO of CoppaFeel said: ‘With AVON’s support, we have been able to create an innovative, first of its kind educational resource especially to educate and empower women on the importance of boob checking
‘Our research shows that not only is there a gap in confidence when it comes to checking, but there is also a hunger for more education when it comes to getting to know your boobs, and CoppaCollege is perfectly placed to meet this need.’
CoppaCollege gives women access to a ‘boobipedia’ of information about the risks, signs and symptoms and where to seek advice and help.
The tool will also enable CoppaFeel! to expand its training capabilities for Boobettes – a team of women who share breast health awareness having had cancer, a scare themselves or a strong connection with the disease, they use their stories to inspire other people to think differently about their lives and bodies, educating about the importance of getting to know your boobs now and making it a life-long habit.
CoppaCollege continues AVON’s 25 year Breast Cancer Promise – to ensure women throughout the UK are breast health aware. The tool is the first initiative to fall under the brand’s global Pink Light Project, which seeks to reach 50 million women across the world to ensure they know the risks, know the signs and know where to get help when faced with breast cancer.
